On my 4.8V battery pack, I would see 0.050V and with my starter battery I would see. I found that it would run a single glow plug regardless of the battery at a very low voltage. I just sent a new, out of the package unit, back to them as the only way I could get the thing to drive both plugs on my FT160 was to use my starter battery. Evidently Sullivan is experiencing major problems. The green LED light indicates burned out plugs by flashing on.

Not saying you don't have a problem but that you are measuring output incorrectly.You guys have had the same bad luck as I have. This will NEVER read correctly with a DC meter. It is irritating as I purchased two of the things, one for me 1/4 Extra 300 and one for my Son's 1/5 Long-EZ.One problem is that you are looking for DC Volts and the Sullivan puts out a Pulsed signal. Bring it back to the run position (1/4 for me!) and the original symptom comes back! It shoulb be noted that neither of my units will properly start even the single plugGreen LED light indicates burned out plugs, bad connections, or dead battery by flashing on the panel,Electronic onboard glow driver for twin cylinder.If I do not get a resolution from Sullivan this week, I'll write them off as a bad investmen. Advance the throttle and the unit shuts down as it should. If I let it start one plug, I could attach the head lock on the second plus and it would drive.
Good night, MM PS, when your wife's the financial officer for your hobby, you learn soon what had better work and what to stay away from !!SEE MY SEPT. What I've learned about RC is that 1, Twins crash sooner or later 2, gas engines vibrate way too much 3, retracts are a "PITA" 4, Glow drivers, your wasting time and money. After I pulled it out I chose to replace the inverted two stroke I was using it for and went with a four stroke It runs inverted, don't need a glow driver, save's weight of an extra battery and have been flying the plane great since then. Problem is, I have'nt gotten off my duff to send it in. I called Sullivan and the said to send it in for a free replacement. After three plugs I figured out it has to be a bad memory board.
As I said, we tested the unit with 4.8V and 6.0V batteries without any problems.I also ship to you 24 inches of 16 gage diameter wire for you to attach to your JR battery.I would recommend changing the leads and re-test the unit. There is a lost of current using 22 or 24 gage battery leads on the circuit board. It went USPS and the tracking number is:We believe the battery leads is the cause of the problem. Then add, "If unit doesn't work it may also be used as a weight to balance your next airplane or as a fishing weight , after all you ONLY spent $65 for this". I would suggest that you change your package to read - "This unit requires a high amperage battery pack, and you must purchase 24 inches of 16 gauge wire and heavy duty connectors for the battery pack and unit". The front of your package says "Ready to use - just add a battery". It is my personal opinion that it appears you have put an inferior product on the market and now you want the consumer to re-wire a battery pack, buy new wire and connectors, do the soldering, and hopefully have a useable product.
